A newly possessed high school cheerleader turns into a succubus who specializes in killing her male classmates. Can her best friend put an end to the horror?

High school films are a constant presence to our screen nowadays, ‘Jennifer’s Body’ goes a little bit of a different direction to most incorporating a flowing storyline with the added sense of horror to this “Genre”.

The two main characters Needy and Jennifer really have an interesting character relationship, which does come across on screen. Whereas many of the other characters in this you have no feeling for, and with the events that happen there really is no feeling towards them.

When you start the film with the ending, you’re always going to know what’s to come. Some films do this well but they would add a bit of a twist, with this film it is predictable from the beginning, in which the ending becomes no surprise.

Some of the visuals throughout this film are quite frankly just naff, especially the end scenes with added slow-mo to try to add some depth, but ultimately added nothing to these poor scenes. Although there was plenty of time when there were gory, intense, and very dark scenes, which were entertaining, however, the end fight scene definitely didn’t work.
