CD Projekt reaffirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is not going to be postponed. The release date of the game is now locked for December 10th. However, the recent delay of the upcoming release seems to have changed the Polish company’s plans for additional content.

Specifically, the company revealed its financial results for the most recent quarter of the year. In this context, it was noted that the announcement of the DLCs of Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed. The original plan was for this to happen before the release of the title, but there is a change of plans. So CD Project will inform gamers about its future projects after the game’s release.

The company’s president, Adam Kiciński, had previously revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 would have at least as many DLCs as The Witcher 3. For the record, Witcher had received two major story expansions and sixteen free DLCs, after its initial launch release in 2015.

Cyberpunk 2077: Multiplayer Edition

Kiciński then referred to the multiplayer Cyberpunk title that is in the works. The high-ranking executive reaffirmed that this project continues to be scheduled for 2022, but still does not have a final release date.

According to him, we can expect more information about the Cyberpunk multiplayer game and the rest of the company’s projects in early 2021. In fact, referring to the online title, he stated that it is a separate, special, and big production. The team thinks of it as an autonomous product. However, it is part of the Cyberpunk universe and is connected to the concept of the single-player Cyberpunk, but it is an independent production.

The Final Release Date

So, Cyberpunk 2077 is less than a week away and it is confirmed that no matter what, on December 10, it will be on store shelves -CD Projekt Red guarantees it!

The Polish studio first announced the game in 2012, rediscovering its vision in 2018. Since then, its final release date has been moved so many times that most of us have lost count. This has undoubtedly caused concern to gamers, but also to the company’s investors.

So, on November 25, the day the company announced its financial results for the most recent quarter, an official document for the investors was published. It states in BIG bold letters, that the game will be released on December 10. In fact, at the end of the document, the team has put a countdown and confirms that the game is released on December 10.

Sounds like a lie, but Cyberpunk 2077 looks set to be released this December for PS4Xbox One, and PC. The title will also be available on Xbox Series X and S and PS5 initially via Backwards Compatibility.

“Thus, we’ll have to wait just a couple more days!”
